As you may recall, the award is for our "Nationality Night" program for immigrant families (planned and conducted by Judy Sutton and Connie Mathews) and won in the category of "Programming and Services to Children Under the Age of Six." The citation describes the important work our library does in preschool services, as well as the work we do for the community as a whole. It's quite an impressive citation. We are grateful to Matt for his work on behalf of public libraries and the people they serve. After the library board meeting on September 18 we will display the citation along with others we received for our 75th anniversary on our "awards wall."
