HIGHLIGHTS:
Security Upgrade is Coming!
PINs in the Catalog
As part of an effort to keep library accounts safe and secure, effective February 18, all public libraries in Allegheny County will be implementing the use of Personal Identification Numbers (PINS) for accessing library accounts online. Therefore, patrons will need to create a 4-digit PIN upon accessing My Account for the first after this date.
You will need to have a VALID email address in your library account if you forget your PIN. This enables the system to send you an email providing you the opportunity to reset your PIN. Please click on the following links to give you more details of our new procedure.

MT. LEBANON RECYCLING
RECYCLING PICKUP
Recycling pickup is every other week on your regular trash pickup day. Recyclable materials should be placed together mixed and loose in a single container identified by recycling stickers. Pick up your Mt. Lebanon recycling stickers here at the library.
SINGLE STREAM RECYCLING (click to learn more through the following video)
The Mt. Lebanon Community is not only one of the best places to live but we are on the cutting edge of technology with our Single Stream Recycling Program which not only saves us money but is also helping to save our environment. Single stream recycling now permits resident to intermingle all recyclables, including newsprint and other sorts of paper, and place them at curbside for pickup. You may now place as many cans with green recycling stickers at the curb as you like.
WHAT YOU SHOULD RECYCLE - print a list for your refrigerator.
If you have questions about recycling in Mt. Lebanon, call the Mt. Lebanon Department of Public Works at 412-343-3403.

LIBRARY TIPS:
Specific tips on how to get the most out of your library.
The library has just installed a new phone system with, Voice Over Internet Protocol. Now patrons may select from a brief and specific menu of call destinations - Circulation, Children's, Reference, etc. We appreciate your patience as we learn all of the system's functions.
In addition to our new phone system being installed we are also making improvements in the library by replacing our carpet with a new high end carpet made from recycled materials. The new carpet is being installed now throughout the library and will take several weeks to complete. Thank you for your continued support and patience as we make these improvements.
